Actually Indo means someone with Indonesian blood:Javanese,Sumatrese,Manadonese,etc and European blood: usually Dutch but not always.
During Kolonial times in Indonesian archipelago, people with mix blood and with Dutch/European status and/or nationality, were called Indo-Europeans.
The Blue diamonds are not pure Indonesian but Indo.Same for Xaviera Hollander.Carolijn Lilipaly, Denny Landzaat and Giovanni v Bronckhorst and Daniel Sahuleka are Moluccan or of Moluccan descent.

Belanda Item was usually used for West-African soldiers during the kolonial period.
I understand some Indonesians also use it to denote the South Moluccans. South Moluccans themselves do not use ‘Belanda item’ .In kolonial times the Moluccans had European status, but they were not “Belanda”

guys, remember that most of these people (in fact, I think all?) are dutch. they are culturally, ethically and spiritually dutch. genetically, they may have Indonesian descent, but it says nothing about us. if we want to see how great our country is, let’s start looking at the great people in Indonesia, not in netherlands
